There are three ways that a workflow can interact with Laserfiche and Active Directory users or groups. A workflow can:
Workflow 8 will only interact with a repository or Active Directory if it appears in the Workflow 8 Administration Console's User Sources node.
Routing to Users/Groups
Using the Route Entry to Group and Route Entry to User activities, you can dynamically route entries to specific users or groups based on the value of a specified token. In order to utilize this feature, you must assign each user and group two types of properties.
Token value properties: A workflow can determine who to route a document to based on the value of a specific token. If the token matches a property (e.g., Display Name or E-mail address) assigned to a user or group, the document will be routed to the corresponding user or group's working folder. Give me an example. By default, there are four token properties that you can assign values to.
Display Name
E-mail address
First Name
Last Name
Tip: You can create additional, custom tokens (advanced).
